The 2010 conference was held on June 10 and 11 at the Novotel Brussels Airport. 33 delegates from 24 companies and European institutions attended. Member presentations covered a wide range of topics from machine translation to terminology integration and proofing. SDL presented the latest developments in Trados Studio , MultiTerm and TeamWorks together with a comprehensive overview of Professional Services. There were lively discussions and worshops resulting in a new Wishlist that will be entered directly into the SDL Ideas website. On Thursday evening, SDL very generously sponsored a group dinner held in the traditional Brussels brasserie "Vincent".
In the final closed session, a more formal structure for the ETUG steering committee was approved by the delegates and this will provide a strong base to carry ETUG forward in the future.

Welcome to the ETUG Web Site |
What is
ETUG?
The European TRADOS User Group (ETUG) is a forum for corporate
SDL Trados users allowing them to meet other users, exchange their
experiences with the SDL TRADOS tools and get to know other users'
translation workflows and solutions.
We also intend to use this forum to gather development requests
that the users would like to see addressed by SDL Trados. The forum works together with SDL Trados to improve the SDL Trados products
in such a way that users can get the most out of them.
ActivitiesAn annual ETUG Conference is held to promote the exchange of
information between users. SDL Trados representatives are also present
during part of the conference to give users the opportunity
to ask questions and obtain information about the newest SDL Trados developments. We have also set up a Yahoo! discussion group
that will allow an even more lively and detailed exchange between
members of the ETUG.
Members
The ETUG members are representatives of many different
industries, international and government organizations as well
as translations agencies. The members are corporate users or
work with corporate users on large-scale translation projects
with a good working knowledge of the SDL Trados tools and have often
developed their own processes and workflows incorporating the
SDL Trados tools.
Why Should I Become an ETUG Member?
